Children cognitive and motor skills are developing very fast, therefore, the toy industries are also producing variety of toys to help children in great deal of speed. It seems like this is a great deal for parents and children, but actually harmful to our planet. Considering this, V2 Studios has designed and developed a range of RC vehicles made from sustainable material, cork. It features dynamic control settings that grow with your children.
The use of cork gives this toy buoyancy feature, it’s perfect for boats and also gives impact resistance to cars. but the goal of this project is more than just cork’s functionality, through this project, the design team wants to show cork’s immense ecological contribution.
There are million acres of cork forest around Mediterranean that store around 20 million tons of CO2 each year while releasing more oxygen. These forest support one of the highest levels of biodiversity. WWF is currently working to protect these forests by promoting products made from sustainable managed cork-oak forests, such as these RC toys.
These RC toys have been designed with special program in three stages where each one adds functionality and different play patterns as your children masters each skill. They can learn the difference between left and right, to precise maneuvering at high speeds. It’s an in-house project, you can be sure that each detail is maintained where all plastic parts are made from 100% post-consumer recycled high density polyethylene, and even the packaging is 100% recyclable and finished with soy based dyes.
