Beautiful and natural balance bike children, Bixie Wooden Bike is made of locally sourced raw materials in the heart of the Alps. Inspired by children’s natural desire to imitate their parents, Bixie Wooden Bike design is not a cheap substitute for a bike, in fact, this balance bike looks like a real bike. The material is 99% recyclable beech wood, even the grips and saddle are made from natural leather. This is a nice bike for children, the seat height of the saddle can be adjusted, it grows with your children from different ages and heights. Aside from being eco-friendly, this bike is also kids friendly. The wood finish is made of natural ingredients such as oils and wax, so when your children for some reason decide to lick it, it’s okay.

Andrej Kregar, the founder of Bixie, got inspired to create a wooden balance bike to celebrate his daughter 1st birthday. Since this little girl would use a balance bike soon, why not design and develop it himself while keeping it healthy and environmentally friendly. He wanted to avoid using any plastic for this bicycle.

Let me remind you, Bixie wooden bike is not a toy, it actually helps children to learn on how to maintain balance and steer. This project wants to point out about environmental consciousness, not just that, it also wants to encourage woodworking for natural products with high added value. Bixie is currently available for pre-order through a crowd funding campaign.
