Heather Hach Hearne together with her husband Jason, an executive of animated films bought the 6-by-9 foot Los Angeles playhouse for $2,450 from KidsCrooked House. A handyman took the responsibility to assemble the house and place 99-cent ersatz stone tiles for the floor. Mrs. Hearne wanted the playhouse to be funky and off-kilter. She as well installed a purple chandelier and wired the entire playhouse for electricity, fetching power from the garage.
